Finish Book Number Two

I'm halfway through my latest WIP, and the most frustrating thing about it is that writing is so time-consuming. I mean seriously, suck-the-life-out-of-you time-consuming. Master Seven is in "inventions" mode at the moment - maybe I should get him to invent a super-duper transmitting device that will take all my imagined scenes and whip them down on paper for me...

Get Through This Earthquake Hell

Life has changed in Christchurch since the "big one" - no, not the September "big one", the February even bigger "big one". Things we've always taken for granted - roads, drinkable water, sewerage services - have become luxuries we truly appreciate. Getting from A to B (which used to be a ten-minute drive and is now upwards of 45 minutes) is a serious tactical mission. Taking the kids to school isn't just a quick drop any more. Getting to work requires careful route-planning. My give-up-chocolate and get-fit intentions are so far out the window I haven't seen them for months, and you know what? I don't care. If a chocolate bar (King-size!) is what I need to get through this, I'll eat it. :)

www.maggielepage.com continues to evolve. My latest change is to shift GirlTalk across to blogspot (still accessed the same way). This means it's easier for readers to comment. As ever, I'm also looking for ways to improve my site, so drop me a line and tell me what you'd like to see.
